"Brick Mouth" By Jean Robison

This animation is part of a series I made at the beginning of the lockdown in early 2020. I photographed drawings I had made in my studio. Once reinterpreted as digital media, I added movement and audio. The soundtracks for these pieces are field recordings made in my home and on my street. The series is a journal of observations of life on the digital/physical divide that enveloped us in the past year. This brick mouth bulges and undulates with the distorted bass sounds from my neighbor's super souped up lowrider car.
