My work depicts a clitoral scroll deep within the tortuous folds of a magenta rose. I started creating my scroll when I fell madly in love at Yaddo. I was unable to visit my beloved due to Covid travel restrictions. In my Holy Crypto Scroll memory and desire are bound in tight quixotic entanglement. This is the second in a trilogy of works honoring the seminal performance art work “Interior Scroll” by Carolee Schneemann. Audio score by Legere – “Madly” - from Last Tango in Bubbleland
