"Bow" By Amada Estabillo

Bow is an animation that tracks the creation of a digital painting. Lines, colour, shape and texture come together to express form before dissolving. The form created recalls a bow but the pulsing of the animation also refers to the beating of a heart. The piece references a range of material subjects; ribbons, fabric, floral petals. The artist hopes to recall the fleeting moment of anticipation when we hold our breath as we pull open a ribbon, unwrapping a package.
