"Non-Binary Nude Glitch in a GANscape" By marjan moghaddam

Renonwed digital artist Marjan Moghaddam started her #arthack conceptual NetArt Project in 2016, by hacking her signature 3d CG figural works and critical discourse into found and shot footage of Artfairs and exhibitions as a way of radicalizing curation and democratizing the exhibition space. Widely covered by the international press, her #arthacks have gone viral on top art channels such as Nowness with millions of views, won international awards, made Forbes’ Best of AR art list in 2019 list, and exhibited in curated gallery and museum shows and sold into influential art collections. In 2016, seeing that the landmark survey of a 100 Years of The Nude at Gagosian gallery on Madison Avenue had no non-binary or digital nude, she proceeded to create and hack her Non-Binary Nude Glitch into that exhibition (can still be seen on her Instagram wall). The Non-Binary Nude Glitch figure then made appearances outside of Bryce Wolkowitz’s booth at Armory Show 2017, and another version was exhibited at the Post Identity Pavilion of The Wrong Digital Art Biennial also in 2017. 
 For this version, using her signature and unique style of 3d modeling and animation which she terms as Chronometric Sculpture, the Non-Binary Nude Glitch is placed inside of an AI GAN-generated painting she calls a GANscape. The staging of a nude in a digitally generated landscape is a nod to Manet’s revolutionary work Le Dejeuner sur l'herbe which also disrupted art conventions of its time over a century ago.
