This is Oona Nelson's “Genesis” NFT Artwork titled "Dark Garden". This work is her reflection on white privilege, colonial history, and a compulsion to disengage with responsibility. This work documents a performative action. It was produced by first bathing in the slip, shedding the slip while still wet, coating it in sugar, and then hanging it in her garden. If you look closely you will notice an ant colony is harvesting the sugar.
