52 ceramic bowls hanging on an old shade covering in 29 Palms California. In the Mojave Desert near Joshua Tree National Monument. The winds are fierce here and they change throughout the day and changes the way to bowls move and respond to each other and the viewer. The clay was found near Death Valley in Shoshone, Ca. and reworked into some porcelain to form the pinch pots. I used jewelry wire and glass beads for hanging them. They were fired in a fire pit in the ancient way. Just covering the clay with wood and burning it over them. The black on the pots is carbon trapped during the firing.
