Photography as fine art, it’s something that goes beyond its obligation to document a moment in time. This piece brings an analogue 35mm scanned negative (on the background) with digital lines and forms referring to a natural landscape (on the foreground). The motion makes this piece exist in the present moment. The present moment in this work happens while the work moves, when the past (old negative in the background) and future (digital drawing on the foreground) clash revealing decay and fantasy. This piece is about revealing the layers and the material is part of the narrative, stimulating the imagination as a way to make the viewer part of the work.
