"Sleeping with Crystals and Awake with Champagne and Double Hearts" By Finley

Sleeping with Crystals and Awake with Champagne and Double Hearts is a large scale painting I created in 2010 the year I moved to Rome.  It is a meditation on the dizzying effect of love.  A woman sleeps while crystals dance around her hand while another woman sips champagne and stares directly at the viewer.  Two hearts in a perfect union are wrapped in a horseshoe for good luck.  The painting is filled with talismans for love and luck.  The wild swirling blue background is the wind, ocean and is etheric, representing a world beyond time.
