"Into the Abyss"

This was my last time on a roof before quarantine. It was the first week the pandemic became a
concern. Everything was still open, but the fear was there. At the time, we didn't know if this would last days, weeks, months, or years, but all I wanted to do was enjoy every moment before it got worse. I went to the city one morning for sunrise in hopes to isolate myself in a place so populated. In hopes to pretend like the world was normal for one last time. We stood on the rooftop where the cold rain and fog engulfed us as the lights of the city began to dim. Everything became pure white. I felt alone, I felt at peace, and I knew this was the just the beginning of the storm.
